Did you know that Fashion is inspired by home décor? I guess this is vice versa in my case, because my colorful fashions have inspired this makeover. In preparation of kicking-off the official start of summer, I have decided to give my family room a summer makeover. Nothing screams summer like color, hence I used bright colorful accents to create a brand-new feel for this room. I did not want to spend a lot of money on this revamp, so I picked pieces that would make a big statement without breaking the bank.
For this home makeover, I partnered with a few of my favorite brands to create a space perfect for the family, and entertaining guest. I hope you love my little tips to improve your space for summer any use the shopping links to shop the post, and add a summer flare to your space.

I started this makeover by visiting the Sherwin-Williams store, and picking out the perfect color for my accent wall. I selected an Emerald Interior paint in Olympus white. It has a bluish tinge, and is the perfect accent to all the colors I included into the room. We use in eggshell finish to provide a smooth beautiful look.
After painting the walls, I use my beautiful frames from Framebridge to re-create my family wall. I already had frames up on the wall, but removed them all, and included new red, white, and black frames. These additions add the right amount of color to the wall.
Beautiful hand painted pillows by Rochelle Porter add life to the room, and give my accent chairs and couch a much-needed facelift. Her pillows are so much fun and are truly pieces of art. Another great thing about these pillows is that the multiple colors featured on them make it easy to add the pillows too different spaces.
I used this beautiful Dora Maar Bowl from Jonathan Adler to toned down the color. The white accents in the room do a great job of toning down the color, while making sure everything works together. This Dora Maar Bowl from Jonathan Adler is truly a piece of art, and a great conversation piece. I selected this piece because it is beautiful, and versatile as it works as both a flower vase and a piece of art.
Filling the room with flowers both real and fake also add a beautiful appeal to the space. I love real flowers however I found some amazing fake ones from Pier 1 and also included them in this space.
THANK YOU SHERWIN-WILLIAMS, ROCHELLE PORTER, FRAMEBRIDGE, JONATHAN ADLER, AND AUGUST MORGAN FOR PARTNERING ON THIS POST.
