For years I have been on the hunt for the perfect pair of high waist pants. There is something about the silhouette of this style of pant that I find extremely chic, hence I found myself constantly looking for the perfect pair. Every now and then I would find a pair that I loved, however the price tag would chase me away. In the past I noticed that mid-level price range retailers like Banana Republic and J.Crew did not carry a true high waist pant, Instead mid-rise filled the shelfs. When I would find affordable pairs the fabric or silhouette wasn’t right. The material used was either too thin, or cheap, therefore making the pants appear sloppy. In the last couple of years I have noticed the popularity of this style of pant sky-rocket, hence more and more brands creating a true high waist pant that goes over the 11″ rise which generally goes over or meets the natural waist-line. This silhouette of pant is an important key wardrobe item because it is truly timeless. The style of pant adds a touch of elegance to an outfit. In addition to the pant being chic and classic, it is also on trend every season! The only variance is the type of fabric used in creating the pant. I have selected a few pairs that I absolutely love at all price-points. I picked these pairs because they are all “true” high waist pants, they feature slit-pockets or no pockets which eliminates bulkiness, making the pants more flattering.
