Color-blocking the right wayNow that it finally feels like spring is getting comfortable, its time to start exploring all the fun colors this spring has to offer. Today’s post was shot on the streets of Atlanta, and highlights my love for color. Color has the power to bring instant joy, hence everyone should wear a little color, especially when the temperature starts to heat up. I realize bright hues can be a little intimidating for some. That is why I created this look to show an easy way to wear spring color-pops by color-blocking. The key to making color-blocking work is always referencing your color wheel. Orange and yellow are the bases of this look and work because they are neighbors on the wheel. I used white to breakup the colors, and to make this outfit less intimidating. The introduction of white to the look makes it easier to pull off, by toning down the color. In addition to toning down the color, white does a great job of complementing both hues in this look. The white featured in this outfit serve as the perfect backdrop and become the glue that holds the look together.
