Out of all the trends that were forecasted this season, I predicted that the western/cowgirl trend would be most prevalent. I was right. The cowgirl chic trend was very present on the streets of New York. I knew this trend would be extremely relevant, hence I decided to shoot this look in Toronto weeks before NYFW. If you have been paying attention to NYFW on social media you know I got it right.

Every major fashion blogger and style editor including Amiee Song a Song of Style, and Instyle style editor Kahlana Barfield, infused this trend into their looks in one form of the other. I decided to pair this “Little House on the Perry” inspired fall floral dress, with Tibi’s modern version of the cowboy boot. Every detail in this street-style outfit is calculated to create the perfect western vibe. Hence my long flowing hair, floral bag strap, wearing multiple necklaces, and of course the heart-shaped sunglasses, all come together to achieve the look.
Anyone can sport this trend. Achieving the cowgirl-chic look is easier than you think. All you have to do is pair the right accessories. Stay tuned, as I share more looks from NYFW that evoke the western trend. Would you try the cowgirl chic look?
