A lot of times the focus of an outfit is the detail in the fabric.
Although I do believe the silhouette ultimately makes a dress stand out,
the color and pattern take it to the next level. I actually designed
this dress myself for a friend’s wedding and decided to wear it to
another wedding. The combination of raw silk and damask makes a
gorgeous combination, however I felt the need to add little details to
take the look to the next level. When accessorizing a dress that is
already awesome, make sure you use pieces that complement the colors and
fabric because it is a thin line between getting it wrong and getting
it right. I used the gold thread running through the fabric to tie in a
black and gold belt, bag and gold shoes. In the spirit of the exciting
fall flowers that decorated the fabric I also wore vibrant red lipstick.
Weddings are fun and beautiful and I think you should always dress for
the occasion, especially Fall weddings.
