Although I love the front of this outfit, it’s the back details that made this look rock! The gold zipper details traveled from my booties, all the way up to my leather tee-shirt, making it so cool and me a fanatic to the outfit’s details. The series of zippers from the shoes to the skirt to the leather top mimic the series of stairs I stood on in the Gansevoort’s back stairwell, making it the perfect backdrop for this photo shot.
Leather is a huge trend right now, however there is a thin line between doing leather right and leather overkill. Because the Back of this leather tee-shirt is jersey, as well as the entire skirt, there isn’t too much leather being shown, hence the look is not as harsh as it would have been if it was all leather and all black. The short pleated skirt is cute and girly, however the leather from the top and the length of the skirt make this entire look flirty, sexy, and a little edgy – the perfect look for a night of drinks and good times.
