New York is one of those cities
that you just can’t get enough of. The city moves at a fascinating pace that
only allows the strong to survive. My style concept for the streets of New York
was fashion forward, city-chic with an edge. I wanted to stand out in the chaos
and I did just that with my multi-pattern peplum top.
I also layered the top by adding a long sleeve fitted black
top – I did this for two reason; 1. To draw the eye towards the print of the
peplum top and 2, October in NYC is pretty cold, so the extra instillation
helps, who said fashion can’t be practical!
I did not want the crop pant style
to cut off my legs and make me look shorter so I wore dark black hosiery to
elongate my legs by making them look like an extension of the pants and my
booties. Speaking of booties my narrow pointed wedge booty gave this look the
edge it need to be perfect! The gold back zipper detail on the boot tied in the
gold details featured on my necklace belt and hand bag.
I wanted the top to be
the focus of the look but I also did not want to pair it with a boring classic
bottom; so I opted for the coolest pair of pleated crop pants I own. The black
pants served as the perfect back drop and highlighted the various patterns and
colors in the top
I had the privilege to go to the Conde Nast building, the home of Vogue and Lucky magazine! |
A chic oversized tote and
floral top-coat completed the look making it concrete jungle approved.
