FASHION AND STYLE: THE FUCHSIA AND BLACK FACTOR

I think trying to make pieces look completely different can be one of the biggest style challenges anyone faces.  I have had this fabulous fuchsia dress with a ruche band running through the back for quite some time but the dress is definitely more on the formal side, so the style challenge was to make it fun and and somewhat work friendly.  My easy fix to make a dressy dress somewhat informal is simply to layer a dress-shirt under the dress. I picked a black dress-shirt because fuchsia pops extremely well against black. Black accessories in the form of a oversized bag worn as a clutch, biker booties, and oversized sunglasses add a cool factor automatically transforming the look of the dress and making it day to night ready.
