FASHION AND STYLE: PAINTING THE TOWN RED

Red is a perfect color to add detail and pop to an outfit. I found this red and white box pattern sweater and fell in love with the price and color pattern.  Instead of going with the obvious white or red bottom to match with my sweater, I went for a charcoal grey mermaid skirt. Celine as well as a large number of other major designers, really put an emphasis on the mermaid/midi skirt silhouette this season, making it a must have in your closet.  Regardless of the shade of grey, grey makes the perfect complimentary color, hence I paired the red sweater with a grey skirt and grey suede shoes. I wanted to add my signature style twist to this look, so I added one of the most classic things in my closet, my gold and pearl Chanel pin. The pearl tone of the brooch ties in with my earrings, the shade of my sunglasses and the gold writing on my bag (it’s all about details lovelies).  I added more red with my color block blue and red clutch and more grey with my oversized men’s wear coat. Minimal modern silhouettes are huge so get the right pieces and make a clean modern look with a cool pop color.
