I know this may sound backwards, but
every now and then I tend to create outfits around certain accessories in my
closet. This look was created around my old but very unique Oscar De La Renta “Broken
tile” pattern scarf. The pattern which resembles shattered glass is super versatile,
modern and a closet favorite of mine. This look is perfect for a causal outing
that requires looking good and being comfortable. Grey is truly the
ultimate complimentary color hence my charcoal grey sweater works perfect with
all the brown this look highlights. I paired the sweater with boyfriend jeans,
which are still very much in style and have a very sexy appeal to them. With the exception
of the scarf most of the pieces in this look are very casual, that is why I
opted for these comfortable high-heel booties to jazz up the look. A fedora is a great
stylish option for when you don’t want to be bothered with your hair – the grey in
the fedora ties perfectly to the sweater, making it another perfect piece to
this outfit. Now for my beloved scarf, the length and size of this scarf makes
it totally chic and a perfect accessory to add character to any look. To further compliment
this super-casual look, I threw on a pair of oversized sunglasses and a large
tote to create the perfect casual-chic look surrounded by broken tiles.
