When I shop I tried to buy things that work with items that are already in my closet. The combination of ivory and gold is very rich and when black is added to the mix you have the perfect combination for a killer outfit. You can never go wrong with a classic pencil skirt, especially one in ivory with a tint of gold and black pipping. I chose to pair the skirt with a top that mimicked the colors of the skirt, creating the illusion of a dress. The sheer fabric of the top adds just a little sexy- factor to the mix but the conservative silhouette of the top make it appropriate for almost any occasion. Instead of opting for a boring blazer I threw on a black leather and jacquard varsity jacket. I really played off the central color scheme of this look and added more black and gold in the form of a black with gold hardware bag and gold shoes. This look is edgy, sexy, sophisticated and will work for you from day to night.
