I really wanted to create a look
that was somewhat fearless and sexy. I wanted an outfit that would play on color and pattern, loud but not overly obnoxious. In this outfit I achieved all of the above. This look is centered around my high-waist skirt. The
skirt is made of Ankara, which is a fabric that is indigenous to Africa. I
figured it would be too predictable to pair the tribal print with white or black so I decided to pair it with a navy and cream sheer pattern blouse. The pattern on pattern in this look works because the colors tie the two together perfectly. The sexy silhouettes of the two pieces pair perfectly and matched with a leopard print bag, channel an exotic vibe. In the spirit of print and color, I threw on a blue and green floral topcoat as well as blue printed shoes. This look is a true oxymoron, obnoxious yet subtle, but still very
chic, creating the ultimate pattern affair.
