It was love at first sight when I received one of the most beautiful Ankara belts I had ever seen. My new dilemma now became how do I style this beautiful piece without taking away from it. I needed to create an outfit that would frame the belt but would also stand out as a separate. I definitely achieved my goal in this look. Midi skirts are in and a clean black fitted midi skirt kept my silhouette clean and lean. Because the belt has the potential to add volume I decided having it fitted on the bottom and the top was necessary so I mirrored my fitted skirt with a black fitted top. The two pieces frame the belt and still create a sexy silhouette. If you have a beautiful colored belt that you want to showcase, frame it with a solids like black or white, it is sure to make a statement that way.
