FASHION AND STYLE: ORANGE FLOWERS

I have a confession, I love flowers than again who doesn’t! Orange might not be the hit color of the season but it is very much still on the fore-front of spring 2014 trends, and with pre-fall slowly emerging, we are seeing more and more orange within the summer collections making the transition from summer to fall with the color orange seamless. Although this look features other colors other than orange, orange is truly the focus. My orange pencil midi skirt and bag create a nice monochromatic feel and compliment my floral silk shirt that features a host of other colors. Because orange is the dominant color in this look, it brings out the subtle hints of orange in the top, making the orange flowers pop. I did not want to add more color or more orange to this outfit, so I wore a pair of gold metallic shoes which serves as a great neutral, and also picks off the gold hardware details on the bag. I love flowers hence this floral inspired look is perfect for a stylish orange flower kinda day!
