FASHION AND STYLE: LIVING IN AMERICA

As most of you already know I am a Canadian-Nigerian living in America and in the spirit of America’s independence day, I decided to put together a look that paid homage to the 4th of July! I kinda love the red, white and blue color combo making it easy to put together an outfit that would suit the many cookouts the 4th of July offers. I wanted to make sure that my outfit would be independence ready, but also could still be worn on any other day when heading to a BBQ or hanging out with friends. In my style world, opposites attract, hence I felt it necessary to pair my American flag and shorts with a top that was a bit more dressy with a touch of conservative. Although the top has sheer panels, the length and silhouette of the top dress up my super casual shorts. I also used a pair of black and white sandals to emphasize the casual-chic direction of the outfit. Last but not least a micro cross body tote in a vibrant royal blue hue adds a pop of color completing my 4th of July celebration look. There is so much about this great country that is worth celebrating so don’t hesitate to thrown on your red, white and blue and show a little love  for the Red, white and blue!
