TOP & WRAP SKIRT (IRO & BUBA) FROCKITROCKIT, ALSO LOVE THIS | SANDALS STUART WEITZMAN | BAG GIVENCHY | SUNGLASSES CELINE | NECKLACE BANANA REPUBLIC
There is nothing better
than a hip new trend! The most popular Nigerian native attire also known as iro
and buba, (wrapper and top) has been given a modern revamp. This look can
literally be worn by all for any occasion as ultimately accessories will
determine how dressy you make it. A host of Nigerian designers are showcasing
the trend and putting their own spin on it. One of my clients actually
introduced me to this trend and gave me my first iro and buba or as like to call
it the Modern iro and buba. This look by FNR (Frockit Rockit) was love at first
sight! I fell in love with the yellow rings on the black silk fabric as it
evoked the feeling of the sun rising, motivating me to change my
#outfitoftheday into this look because it was uber-stylish and extremely
comfortable. In true awed by Monica style, I put a little twist on this usually
dressy look and paired it with gold gladiator sandals. A gold statement
necklace added to the dressy factor balancing the look. To avoid being matchie
I threw on a green bag completing my uber-chic dressy yet casual look for a day
of style consulting, shopping and pure fun!
