I just got back from an amazing family vacation in Nigeria and boy was it a blast. Although it was family time, I had to find the time to throw in some work as the life of a fashion blogger never stops. Over the next couple weeks I will showcase a series of fabulous pieces I found on my trip, share an interview with one of Nigeria’s biggest designers and talk about some Nigerian brands I fell in love with. In this look I used the traditional fabric from my family reunion to create a look that created a new spin on traditional Nigerian attire. I can’t get enough of the crop top trend so I decided to create a classic version of the trend with an African spin. The gold thread detail found on the hem of both the skirt, and top, is also present throughout the fabric. The golden threads lay beautifully and also stands as the focal point for this look. In the spirit of gold, I introduce my gold shoes and clutch, which tie in perfectly without overwhelming the outfit. A pair of over-sized sunglasses complete my take on traditional Nigerian attire. A look that can be wore to any occasion.

 LOVE YOU FOR VIEWING
