Everything needs a little revamp. Regardless of how much of a staple, a little change is always good. On my trip to Africa I had the pleasure of meeting a designer that was putting a new spin on the Nigerian traditional attire known as iro & buba (top and wrap). She added pleats to the wrapper almost creating a true wrap skirt appeal instead of the traditional long piece of fabric. The silk colored fabric, low back-line and ruched detailed sleeve also added a modern touch creating a new normal that transition from day to night, and can be worn for numerous occasions.
