Hey Style Lovers, happy Monday. Wearing the perfect navy cocktail dress in today’s post. Before we get into the look of the day, I need to tell you guys about my amazing weekend! My little girls birthday was this past weekend. I still can’t believe she is 5 years old. Time truly flies, as it feels like it was yesterday when I had no idea I was going into labor. My son was induced, hence when I started having pains I thought I was experiencing braxton hicks. To cut a long story short, I had my little girl exactly an hour and a half after leaving the house and heading to the hospital. Back to today’s very stylish outfit of the day. NYFW is literally next week, hence I have been planning my style, show, and meeting schedules for the last 2 weeks. During New York Fashion week fashionistas from all over the world descend on NYC, making it necessary to create outfits that standout. This cocktail dress is truly a standout piece. The asymmetric hem, and the strap details create a modern, chic, yet sexy appeal. Because the dress is such a statement, I paired the dress with subtle yet sexy sandals. A pair of statement earrings and a bare neck add just the right amount of bling without overwhelming the look. Lastly a bag in the same color story completes the outfit, and also creates a visual flow of color. A visual flow of color is always appealing to the eye, and that is why this look works.
