Spring is in the air ladies! So what do we do with all our fabulous fall/winter finds? We might have to say adios to coats and heavier pieces, but what about our darling snakeskin boots? You guys know I love all things snakeskin (check out all you need to know about snakeskin in my snakeskin 101 post HERE), and it would be a shame to have to say goodbye to skin’s most coveted silhouette, the snakeskin boot. That is why I created this post to point out the fact that you don’t need to hang up your boots just yet. This post highlights how to transition snakeskin boots into spring and what to wear them with.
This is how you pull off snakeskin boots for spring
The key to making your snakeskin boots work during the spring is to pair them with the right pieces. Dresses are really a no-brainer. The length of the dress will determine the type of snakeskin boots. Mini dresses or dresses slightly above the knee work perfect with knee-high boots, while booties are great with midi dresses.
Achieving the look is not limited to pairing the print with just dresses. You can achieve the same look with mini skirts, midi skirts, jumpsuits, and shorts. I would highly recommend that you only transition booties that are in lighter tones and pair them with colors that are neutral and are either opposite, or beside the color on the color wheel. i.e. pair snakes print boots with a blue undertone with greens, or oranges. If you look closely at my short snakeskin boots featured in this post, you will notice the specks of orange paired with the blue.COLOR WHEEL
