The holiday season is in full swing which for me means putting up the Christmas tree and decorating the house with my family, Christmas movie nights, attending work holiday events and getting together with my girlfriends to celebrate the holidays. As we near Christmas, it’s now all about the Christmas Eve dinner, church service and then Christmas Day. Christmas is less than 3 weeks away and I’ve started shifting my mindset to what will I wear for Christmas Eve dinner and Christmas Day?
You can’t celebrate Christmas without sporting the one color that is synonymous with Christmas and that is red. Whether you are dining at home or dining out, putting up the Christmas tree, attending holiday parties or hosting a holiday party, one thing is for certain red is the color to wear and @Walmart has you covered with pieces that are affordable for every budget. To show you how to wear red for the holidays red season without look too christmasy, I have created two head-to-toe looks from Walmart that are on trend, stylish and super affordable.
2 on trend ways to wear red for holiday activities.
red leopard print #1Whoever said putting up the Christmas tree had to be boring! Like everything, I like to make it an event, hence for this joyous occasion with friends and family, I like to dress up in the spirit of Christmas. Not overdressing, but dressing for the occasion. Leopard print is still going strong, with no intention of slowing down. This red leopard print sweater and red leopard jeans are perfect for holiday hangouts. Red leopard print is a great way to wear red for the holidays. Whether you’re putting up the tree, or just having a girls night-in with your besties, this casual cool look is perfect. It stylish, on trend, and doesn’t scream Christmas.
Red plaid#2One of the easiest ways to wear red during the holidays is via plaid. Nowadays, we see so many different variations of plaid. Most people run away from red plaid because the hue used is extremely bright and a little obnoxious. I love this plaid suit from Walmart because a dark red is used in the plaid. The plaid is also subdued, hence it doesn’t scream Holiday plaid. You could actually wear this outside of the holiday season, and break it up and wear it as separates. Whether you will wear this look as a suit, or separately, this look is perfect for brunch, dinner, or any holidays occasion.
I hope I have convinced you to wear red this holiday season. Like I said, you can pull off red without being over-the-top, you just have to do it the right way. Happy holidays love and don’t forget to wear red this Christmas season.
