Once I usually have an outfit planned, I stick to it. But for my brothers wedding that changed and I am so glad it did. Do you ever get that feeling that the outfit you planned and planned around just won’t work! NYE is literally tomorrow and if you are having second thoughts on what your New Year’s Eve outfit will be, have no fear because I got you covered.
Instead of stressing out or facing the crowds in at the mall, hit up the store that is literally 10 steps away! I am talking about your closet. Over the course of the year, you have collected numerous dresses, and other items that you love , so why not wear what’s already in your closet!
3 New Year’s eve outfits that are already in your closet!
1.The Black DressWe all have a little black dress in our closets so why not wear them! Whether you decided to wear a mini, midi, or maxi, you really can’t go wrong with a black dress. The key to pulling off a black dress for NYE is spicing it up with your accessories. Statement earrings, sequins shoes, an outstanding bag, are all great ways to elevate your New Year’s Eve outfit. We all have a great pair of earrings in our closet so bring them out. Go as bold with your accessories as possible.
2.SequinsSequins was a major trend throughout the year, so I know you have at least one sequins item in your closet. It doesn’t matter if you already wore, just wear it again! Sequins pieces always make a statement. They are fun and perfect for special ocassions. Switch up your sequence piece by wearing different accessories, switch up your hair, change your bag, or throw a blazer on a sequins dress or jumpsuit.
3. A Velvet BlazerWe should all have a great blazer in our closets. I noted velvet because velvet is festive and chic. Here are 3 tips to make your blazer NYE appropriate. 1. Wear it as a top.(no need for underpinning, just wear the blazer alone. 2. Wear a belt over your blazer. 3. Pair it with an elaborate bottom i.e. sequins pant, wide leg pants etc.
