One of the things I was most looking forward to this summer was experiencing West Palm Beach with my kids.
Located along Florida’s Atlantic Ocean coast, this city offers amazing beaches, shops, fine dining, great shows, and a world-renowned art museum that I keep hearing about.
As excited as we all were to explore, it rained- most of the time. But, we still made the most of our trip. When the rain washed our plans away, happiness came in the form of great food and pool side fun.
The views at the Hilton West Palm Beach were splendid. The water was the perfect temperature. There were shaded areas I used to relax and catch up on some reading, and other areas with plenty of sun to lay back and catch a tan or dry off after hitting the pool. The kids loved hanging out there.
Dinner at the “The Galley” restaurant was amazing. The space was beautiful, the food was delicious, and the service was stellar. It was a kid-friendly environment, so it worked out perfectly for our family. Did I mention the food?
What to wear to West Palm Beach
DAY TO DINNER
Whenever I visit someplace warm, I pack light, cool dresses that are easy to dress up or down. Like this bright orange dress I wore to dinner at night, and to explore the city center during the day. The color was fun and vibrant. And of course a maxi dress is a classic summer look. Worn with flats, it was comfortable enough to visit my favorite shops. For dinner, I added a belt and a bit of a heel for more flair.
I wore a casual, off the shoulder number, in the perfect shade of green, on the day we dedicated just for the kids. I wanted to something that was simple but still chic. This silhouette was perfect for a full day of walking, sight-seeing, and keeping up with the kids.
