LeatherI started my luxury retail career working for a leather company in Toronto Canada. I worked for the company for several years and created a love for leather garments. The brand created classic leather pieces that truly with stood the test of time (I still have pieces that are over 15 years old). With that said you can only imagine my joy to see the reemergence of leather this season. Leather is everywhere y’all! Your fall fashion this season must consist of leather. You truly cannot be on trend without including a piece of leather into your wardrobe.
Although leather items may be a bit pricey, I strongly encourage you to shop leather pieces on sale (I just got two pieces on sale), And also keep in mind when you are making these slightly higher ticket purchases, that leather truly does not go out of style, and it lasts forever. I have leather pieces that are literally over 10 years old. If spending $300-$1000 on a letter item is way out of your budget don’t worry because there are so many faux leather pieces that look amazing. The beauty about this fall trend is that the faux leather look is just has good has real leather.
Key leather garments to invest in are; dresses, crop-pants, and midi skirts.

Animal printLeopard print has reign supreme for the last couple of years. We have seen leopard print dominate every fall fashion category. Leopard print clothing, shoes, and accessories continue sell out at every price-point, however we are beginning to see a shift. Zebra, cheetah, tiger prints, snake and croc-embossed are all animal prints that are making their way to the forefront. It’s clear to say that leopard is still most popular, however there is no denying that animal print in general is a major fall trend. Animal print clothing in any silhouette is a win right now. To nail your fall fashion, you have to include animal print into your wardrobe.
Key fall animal print garments to invest in are; sweaters, midi skirts and blouses
Statement sleevesGuys, I am obsessed with puffy/statements sleeves! There’s something about a statement sleeve that gives off an avant-garde vibe and I’m here for it. Elaborate sleeves first made an appearance in the 80s and has remerged in a modern way. The new statement sleeve is easy to wear and will transition from day to night seamlessly. This is one fall trend that I could truly wear every day because the statement sleeve elevates your outfit of the day. Whether it’s a subtle or over the top sleeve, I recommend everyone gets some form of statement sleeve to include into your fall fashion line-up.
Key statement sleeves to invest in are; dresses, light-weight sweaters, and blazers.
sheer organza dress
SheerThere is something extremely sexy, yet beautiful about the sheer trend. Sheer is very sexy, and can be borderline risque, however it has been done very tastefully and made chic this fall season. Brands are creating sheer silhouettes in fabrics such as organza, and lace. Organza seems to be at the forefront of this fall trend as it adds a touch of elegance to the silhouette. This fall trend looks great layered, and is featured in a host of colors
Key sheer garments to invest in are; dresses, trench coats, and blouses.
SuitingI think it’s clear to say that suiting might just be the most popular fall fashion trend this season. Some may not consider suits to be trendy because pretty much everyone owns a suit. However silhouettes, fabrics, and color, are the three key factors that play into making a suit on trend. The one suit silhouette you cannot avoid this season is the oversized blazer, or the dad blazer. Women are wearing oversized blazers over jeans, skirts, high-rise wide leg pants, name it! This look was seen at every fashion week and continues to be a big hit. The great thing about this fall trend is that if you do not want to buy a new suit, simply borrow one from your man, or your dad! If you decide to borrow an oversize suit make sure it highlights key fabric such as plaid, and houndstooth. In addition to that, bright colors such as neon green, yellow, and orange, are all suit colors that will ensure you were on trend for this fall season.

fall fashion colors
I know you are inquisitive on what to do in terms of color. I didn’t emphasize color only because fall fashion colors tend to be the same. However there is a new inclusion this season, bright colors. You will see more and more sweaters, leather, and other fall fabrics being introduced in bright neon colors. This is something new, but it works. These bright colors work, because they are muted. If you are a color person, don’t hesitate to infuse these colors into your fall wardrobe as it is totally on trend.
